When people are not asleep they have reported effects from brainwave entrainment which can set the stage for lucid dreaming. In general they induce a state of relaxation, focus, and openness which of course are the perfect precursor to lucid dreaming and a relaxed dream-like state.

Effects of Brainwave Entrainment on Lucid Dreaming

More specifically they produce:

Physical relaxation that can be quite deep and comfortable and lead into a restful sleep that allows for longer and more vivid dream states. In fact, some people report that dreams themselves are more relaxed and positive when they start this gently. This can be important because as advanced lucid dreamers know the dream states can sometimes be a little hostile

Mental peace of mind and clarity which may lead to an added vividness of the dreams and perhaps a longer duration. This can help you remember more details and generally experience more realistic dreams. THis open and aware state is a great match for what you are looking for in your lucid dreaming experience.

Visual stimuli such as colors and shapes may appear with brainwave entrainment, again leading to the potential for more vivid dream experiences. In other words, if you are using wake induced techniques, brainwave entrainment can facilitate a smooth transition to the dream state

A sense of floating and being light comes with the deep relaxation that brainwave entrainment create, again, a great way to transition using wake induced lucid dreaming techniques. It can also be a fun way to bring more vividness to daydreams as well.

A sense of being in a dream like state while awake can happen and it might be hard to tell when the wake state ends and dream begins, again exactly what we are looking for when we use wake induced lucid dreaming techniques..

Use of Brainwave entrainment for Lucid Dreaming

Lucid dreamers use the brainwave entrainment lucid dreaming connection in two ways. They either use them right before bed to get them in the right frame of mind for relaxing sleep, or they use them during the time when they are likely dreaming naturally to extend that period and perhaps enhance it. There have been studies that back the idea that brainwave entrainment for lucid dreaming works, at least for those looking to set the stage for a relaxing sleep. You should try both methods, but not at the same time. See which one works for you over a period of at least two weeks before changing methods. And of course you should also experiment with the volume you play them at, the type of beat sound, and the duration you play them. In all, you should keep at it and don’t give up on this form of lucid dream music too early. Make brainwave entrainment part of your routine.

Brainwave Entrainment and Lucid Dreaming

The effects of brainwave entrainment is changes in consciousness and related changes in physical perception. If chosen carefully, brainwave entrainment can be relaxing for many people (other brainwave entrainment can actually be stimulating, but you would not choose those types for the purpose of lucid dreaming. You instead will want to choose ones that promote a delta of one to four Hz and a theta of four to eight Hz in order to get the most relaxed, introspective and creative brain state. Don’t worry if this sounds complicated – the makers of brainwave entrainment have usually done this homework for you and if they are marketing beats that are relaxing they have likely chosen the correct frequency.

You may not want to merely listen to brainwave entrainment and do nothing else. Remember to stick to solid lucid dreaming techniques and you can even add a direct induction tape or other lucid dreaming music as well. Or you can use white noise in the background to be sure that extraneous noises do not affect the process. Finally, you may want to use relaxing breathing exercises, self-hypnosis, or even biofeedback at the same time as you use brainwave entrainment.

Brainwave Entrainment and Lucid Dreaming Connection

The brainwave entrainment lucid dreaming connection has gained notoriety in the lucidity community, and are certainly worth trying as a booster or when you are in a rut. There is no worry about somehow becoming dependent on them given that all they are really doing is helping you relax, with no long-term effects. Isochronic Tones and brainwave entrainment are two very interesting lucid dreaming technologies. Here is the Wikipedia page about Brainwave entrainment.

On this page we go over the effects of brainwave entrainment for lucid dreaming, how to best use them, and where you can find them. We also offer a page that specifically covers how to ensure that you are using the best brainwave entrainment. Once again, this form of lucid dream music in itself is unlikely to directly lead to lucid dreaming, but if you use solid techniques the brainwave entrainment lucid dreaming connection can provide a boost to your chances and may help you have them more often and more vividly.

Best of luck if you do try to use brainwave entrainment for lucid dreaming!

The post Brainwave Entrainment and Lucid Dreaming first appeared on Lucid Dreaming Guide.

Best Binaural Beats for Lucid Dreaming Success

The best Binaural Beats are both scientifically and anecdotally proven to induce a relaxed state that is conducive to lucid dreaming. Whether they have a more direct effect on promoting lucid dreams is open for debate, but at the very least the best binaural beats set the stage. It is quite inexpensive to use this method of lucid dream induction, but it is not always as simple as you might think. Using this type of lucid dreaming music does require patience and attention to detail, and below we offer some tips that might help if you are just getting started or have not found success yet with this method. In general however, you want to search out the best Binaural Beats that are available whether for free or at a small price so that you can take advantage of this wonderful lucid dream aid that may help your quest for lucidity.

We hope this guide helps you in your search, given how many choices are out there.

Best Binaural Beats: Optimal Use

Choosing the best binaural beats goes beyond looking for the quality of the recording and of the beats themselves. We offer the following tips so that you can have the best experience and know that you have the best chance to achieve lucid dreaming:

Best binaural beats volume

The best Binaural beats must be played at a perfect volume when compared to the music you will play at the same time. Even if they are integrated into the music, the best binaural beats are audible but not overwhelming. Practice with different volume levels when compared to the underlying music until you get the perfect comparative volumes. Use a journal to keep track. It may be best to buy separate recordings – one of the music to be played under the binaural beats, and one of the beats themselves, or you can use an electronic beat box if it has that degree of sensitivity.

In a related way, you have to be sure that the overall volume of lucid dreaming music + the beats not so loud as to wake you up, and not so soft as to not be effective. Playing any type of lucid dreaming music requires knowing what your own unique optimal volume level is, and like the above you should keep track using a journal. It is not possible for us to give advice that would cover everyone, since the specific volume that might be optimal for you may be quite different from others.

Best binaural beats tones

You can experiment with different sounding tones until you find the best binaural beats for you – lower or higher or created by different instruments. It may seem like it should not make a difference, but it is possible that you will respond differently depending on the sound and not the beat. Start with something plain and standard and work your way into less common sounds and pitches. For many, quite obvious and louder binaural beats are the best method, while others react more strongly to beats that are more hidden and subtle.

Best binaural beats techniques

Try both dream induced lucid dreaming techniques (DILD) and wake induced lucid dreaming techniques (WILD) with these beats. One type of technique or the other may work better for you when using this type of lucid dreaming music. For many, it makes sense to start with wake induced techniques because otherwise playing them throughout the whole night could interfere with normal sleep. This may just mean waking yourself up in the very early morning.

Don’t mix the use of the best binaural beats with other lucid dreaming aids, at least at first. For example, if you also take a lucid dreaming supplement you may not be sure which one actually worked to promote a lucid dream that night, and then you will need to keep doing both. That said, if you’ve tried two different kinds of lucid dreaming aid with moderate success, combining them to see if you can get a more powerful response is fine.

Bottom line

Do not give up too quickly and keep looking for the best binaural beats, since they may take a few nights to work. This is especially true if you get a small effect at first, like a more relaxing sleep, more dreams, or more vivid dreaming experiences. There is no magic trick to having lucid dreams, and even with the use of aids such as this it can take some time and effort. Invest that time in this method, and use the tips above.

This short article goes over how to use these beats most effectively

Best Binaural Beats Properties

Obviously the point of the above is to show that the best binaural beats may not be the ones with the best tones or the ones that offer the best overall control. Really what becomes important if you are going to enjoy the best binaural beats experience is that you use them perfectly and know when to persevere and when to try something new. All of that said, there are aspects of product quality that you should pay attention to if you are going to make sure you are getting the best binaural beats for your needs and hopes, and we offer the following tips and guidance:

1. Make sure the tones themselves are crisp and clear. This may be especially true for those that may not be of quite the same quality as those you would buy, and it may also be true of those you need to record from the computer because the recording process may lower their quality. The best binaural beats are unquestionably clear.

2. Flexibility may be important as well. You may want to look for a product that allows for the most flexibility as far as the production of beats so that you can vary things and find the best fit for you. Free beats may not offer this feature, but paid ones should.

2. The best binaural beats have a quality that does not change. In other words all of the beats themselves sound exactly the same, with no difference between the beginning and the end of the program. Do not skimp and buy or download a product where the quality of the beats is variable.

3. The best binaural beats for you are the ones that are on the medium that you want to listen to them on – if you want to use your smartphone, a CD player, or a MP3 player, you’ll want your product to be recorded on that player originally. You do not want to have to re-record them because you could lose the crispness of the beats.

4. Finally, the best binaural beats should not necessarily be expensive but they may not be free. It is very possible that you can find a high quality free product, but be sure that you would not be better off paying just a little for a higher quality product. That might be worthwhile.

Best Binaural Beats Conclusion

We are an independent and unbiased website covering lucid dreaming music, so we are careful not to promote a particular brand or distributor of the best binaural beats. We suggest that you look for a store that gives a lot of information related to the four factors in the section above. We also suggest that you make sure that this distributor has garnered positive feedback if you can by looking at forums and other places where people just like you leave unbiased feedback. Distributors and stores who are generally proud of their products and their customer service will make sure that they only carry the best binaural beats.

After you are fairly sure that you have chosen a generally good store or distributor, you should then use the above section as a checklist when looking for a product. If one of the above factors is not fully explained, see if you can write to the manufacturer to find out, or alternately post in a forum to see if anyone has any experience with that particular product.

Conclusion

The best binaural beats available now have the properties listed above and still do not cost that much. It should not be too difficult or time-consuming to find them, but you should compare and contrast and put some time in to make sure you have the ones that will work best and suit your needs. Do not assume that the first ones you try are the ones you will stay with, but then again if you do your homework and read the above it is possible that you will have chosen the right ones. Keep in mind that these and other forms of lucid dreaming music may not work immediately so do not confuse the fact that you do not have success with the idea that the quality of the beats is poor. Stick with it and you may find that your top choice end up working eventually if you’ve done your homework.

These are the basics when it comes to choosing the best binaural beats.

The post Best Binaural Beats for Lucid Dreaming first appeared on Lucid Dreaming Guide.

The best isochronic tunes for lucid dreaming for you may be a matter of taste, since there are a variety of products available with varying attributes. In this post we help you decide which may be the best isochronic tones for you.

Best Isochronic Tones Overview

The following is a guide to choosing the best isochronic tones for lucid dreaming:

1. Don’t give up on any one technique while using free isochronic tones, but instead vary the music you are playing over them. For example, if you are using soothing music in the background, try different types of music such as orchestra, single instrument, different types of instrument, computer generated, and fantasy. In some cases it could actually be the type of music but not the best isochronic tones that makes the difference. And don’t assume that soothing music will necessarily work for you – perhaps something a little up tempo will work better. In most cases, however, music that does not have words will work best.

2. Don’t give up too fast, since learning how to have lucid dreams can take a while and while the best isochronic tones can speed the process this does not mean that things will necessarily happen overnight. Give this method a chance to work, and notice evidence that it may be moving you closer to success. In your enthusiasm for success don’t get too impatient. Our rule of thumb is that you should give every solid technique or every type of music at least a month to work, and if you really want to make sure you give your chosen type of lucid dreaming music a chance give it a full season of the year.

3. Be careful about volume of your isochronic tones, given that lucid dreaming music played too high can wake you up when you don’t want to be awaken, and played too low does not work at all. Don’t just experiment with the volume but also keep a record of it so you know exactly how loudly to play any given recording. And keep in mind that if you change players the volume has to be reconsidered as well. You may find that the perfect volume at which to play your free isochronic tones changes.

4. Buy quality products instead of free isochronic tones when better choices are not too much more expensive. The best isochronic tones are highly sensitive to quality factors, so if you skimp you may find that your lucid dreaming techniques do not work quite as well, or that the underlying tones do not come through like they should. Clarity of the product can also determine whether you will really be able to sleep though it and have lucid dreams while it is playing. The same quality issue can sometimes hold for the player you are using to play them.

5. Positioning of the device you will use to play isochronic tones may also factor in in some cases. You will have choices as far as the angle at which you will place the device, and how far away from you it is. In some cases these factors can make a difference and should be noted. Do you do better when the lucid dreaming music is right net to you on a night table, or further away where it can produce a richer sound? Does stereo work better than mono? And do you do better when it is raised up where it fills the room more fully?

Best Isochronic Tones Conclusion

Using the best isochronic tones with your preferred lucid dreaming techniques can give you a better chance at dream control success. Of course they work better for some than others, and may not be better than other music such as direct induction or binaural beats for your unique needs. You need to be patient in this process because nothing may work right away. Noting small improvements in your dream journal such as an increase in total memorable dreams or increased vividness. It may take a little while for you to find that you are achieving lucidity even with the best isochronic tones, so it is these other factors that you may want to concentrate on.

The post Best Isochronic Tones for Lucid Dreaming first appeared on Lucid Dreaming Guide.

Lucid dreaming meditation is close cousin of lucid dreaming music, and of course can often be used in combination with music for great results. There is actually two ways that lucid dream meditation can be used, one involves using the meditative state with wake induced lucid dreaming techniques so that you enter the dream directly, while the other involves using the meditative state to plant suggestions that will help you achieve dream induced success. We go over both on this page.

Lucid Dreaming Meditation and WILD

Lucid dream meditation can simply be used to relax and prepare yourself for the use of wake-induced techniques. In these cases you learn how to meditate with the primary goal being to achieve a state of relaxation deep enough to allow you to drift off into your dream world. Since you are more aware than you would be otherwise you actually notice the transition to the dream state and you are able to take control of the dream as it unfolds. Meditation for lucid dreaming is most commonly associated with this method. Behind the instructions is played lucid dreams meditation music that is soft and relaxing.

Advantages and disadvantages of Lucid Dreaming Meditation and WILD

Of course the main advantage of using meditation to make your wake induced techniques more powerful is that this practice is tried and true when it comes to the combination of relaxation and focus. Of course these two goals are also quite central to most WILD techniques. Another advantage has to do with the fact that you can get better with practice in using lucid dream meditation techniques, and this may mean you also increase your chances at lucidity.

The disadvantages of lucid dream meditation with WILD techniques are mostly practical. It may take a little while to get into a meditative state, and some may be able to successfully use WILD techniques without having to wait that long.

Lucid Dreaming Meditation and DILD

Lucid dream meditation can also be used to make your dream induced lucid dreaming techniques more effective. In this case, however, the way you will be using your lucid dreaming meditation are quite different. You will still be meditating with the goal of achieving deep and relaxed sleep, but you will also be using the meditative state to practice for noticing dream signs. During your lucid dream meditation you will give yourself suggestions that you will notice dream signs and when you do you will immediately realize you are dreaming. You will visualize that process, and your success at becoming lucid. While meditation for lucid dreaming is not as commonly associated with DILD techniques, this method can not only directly help you notice your dream signs more easily, it also becomes yet another way to bring lucid dreaming into your waking day so that it might be incorporated into your dreams..

Advantages and disadvantages of Lucid Dreaming Meditation and DILD

Of course the main advantage of using meditation to make your dream induced techniques work better is that the suggestions you give yourself and the visualizations become a part of your routine and in themselves increase your chances of DILD success. In a secondary way the advantages include the fact that almost anything you do during the day that brings lucid dreaming into focus has a chance to carry over into your dreams – just like any other activity during the day can make an appearance in your dream state. As with WILD meditation you will get better and better at this type of lucid dream meditation.

The disadvantages of lucid dream meditation with DILD techniques are that the effect is once removed. As opposed to the WILD techniques described above, you are counting on the meditation having an effect many hours later.

Types of Lucid Dream Meditation

There are two basic types of lucid dream meditation: Breathing and Guided Imagery. Depending on your goals and whether you plan to focus on DILD or WILD techniques, one or the other may work best for you.

Lucid Dream Meditation: Breathing

The first type of lucid dreaming meditation we are going to cover involves controlling your breathing in a way that increases focus and helps you relax. Here are the basic steps in breathing meditation for lucid dreaming:

Choose a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for as long as you will be meditating.

Sitting is preferred, since we often associate lying down with sleeping and you will not want to fall asleep before you have accomplished the meditation.

Close your eyes and begin to focus on your breathing, both in and out. Either breath in through your nostrils and out through your mouth, or in and out through your nostrils.

Stay focused on your breath and try to ignore your thoughts. This will not be easy, especially at first, so just do the best you can and that is good enough.

Continue to focus your mind on your breathing and away from your thoughts for at least 15 minutes.

Practice breathing meditation for lucid dreaming every day. This exercise will help you open yourself up to suggestions such as “I will have a lucid dream tonight” or “I will realize I am dreaming when I am asleep tonight”. It may also become a great way to use WILD techniques if you use this method to clear your mind before going to sleep.

Lucid Dream Meditation: Guided Imagery

Repeat steps 1-4 above.

Once you are feeling relaxed conjure up a scene that is relaxing. Perhaps you are walking through a garden, or down a quiet and secluded beach, or through a beautiful forest.

See how many senses you can recognize. What do you see, smell, hear, and feel? Visualize relaxing phenomena such as birds singing, the smell of flowers, the feel of cool sand under your feet.

Try to do some of this passively – do not consciously control the scene but instead see if your mind will create relaxing.

Use imagery to deepen the experience. Maybe you are walking down a grassy hill and with each step you get more relaxed. Perhaps the scene is moving from day to evening to night and with each passage of time you get less stressed.

As with breathing meditation described above, this lucid dreaming meditation should open you up to suggestion and provide a pathway to the use of WILD techniques. In addition, you can directly use guided imagery to picture yourself entering your dreams and becoming conscious and aware.

Free Isochronic Tones for lucid dreaming are available and can be a powerful ally as you learn to use dream control techniques. In many cases people manage to have dream control after a short time without lucid dreaming music such as free isochronic tones, but sometimes a small push or a little extra help is needed. We wanted to share some tips to using the best free isochronic tones successfully, but we first wanted to give you the advice to make sure that the product you download is as good as what you would buy. You will probably find that this process is not too difficult, give that even if you have to pay the cost will not be too high, and you may decide that it is worth trying free isochronic tones first no matter what because you can always turn to a paid product shortly anyway. Thus our job is to help you find the best free product to try early on and make a decision whether paying for them is worth it.

Free Isochronic Tones Overview

Even the best free Isochronic tones are not expensive, so if you are choosing to buy these at no cost you need to be sure that you are getting a high quality product. After all, it may be worthwhile to pay even a little for them otherwise. You need to look for a product where the tones sound very clear, and where you can vary the frequency but it comes across exactly how you need it. You also may want to choose a product that comes with extras, such as choices in the background noise or music that plays behind the tones. And of course you want the sound of the tones themselves to be pleasing.

Free isochronic tones may come in many types, and you want to be sure you can play them the way you want – CD player, smart phone, computer, etc. And you want them to hold up over time because one you choose the tones and settings you want, you should be able to lock that in and use it time after time.

So in summary you want to be sure that your free isochronic tones have the following attributes, as compared to those you have to pay for:

Free Isochronic Tones for lucid dreaming and clarity

These tones should be just as clear as their paid cousins, with excellent sound quality. A small difference in clarity can make a huge difference, and given that even the paid products are not that expensive you may want to compare both. Sound quality is one area you do not want to compromise to get these products for free. Of course it may not be the sounds but instead the player that you are using to play them, so while you may get the tones for free make sure you do invest in a good player.

Free Isochronic Tones for lucid dreaming and pitch

You want some control over the pitch of the free isochronic tones you buy. If the free versions do not give you that control but some that you pay a little for do, you may want to opt for those pay versions. While the changes in pitch may not make a huge difference, even small differences may help you achieve your goals. You may feel that certain tones are more comfortable to listen to, or otherwise work better, and having some degree of flexibility may be helpful.

Soothing Free Isochronic Tones

Some people find these beats hard to listen to or at least slightly unpleasant. You may be able to find a product that either plays the tones over soothing music or white noise, or even creates music from the tones themselves. Some may prefer this more pleasant way to listen to them, and if that’s the case and the best options you can find cost a little you may opt for that choice. The tones may be doing the work but the degree to which you are comfortable and relaxed is important.

Free Isochronic Tones for Lucid Dreaming Process

One you have chosen the best free isochronic tones you need to be ready to use them. There is the chance that the best free isochronic tones for you will come on a CD or otherwise be playable from a device that requires more than an internet connection. However, this is unlikely. Many products that you can just download or steam may be free, but the ones that require them to be on a CD or other external media may cost something, yet you may prefer that route. This ensures that if they work you can use the exact same tones and the same recording again.

Given the above it is likely that the free isochronic tones for lucid dreaming you’ve chosen will require you to use a smartphone, tablet, or computer in order to play them. Make sure you have an appropriate player or App that will allow you to play them without interruption. You need to turn off other sounds, like the sound of a text or e-mail coming in for example. Be sure that the player will not automatically shut off before you are finished with your lucid dreaming techniques.

Free Isochronic Tones and Lucid Dreaming Summary

It may very well be possible that the best isochronic tones for you are the ones that are free, but again there may not be a huge cost for paid products so the choice may not be easy. One possibility would be to see whether a paid version can be had on a trial basis so you can truly compare and contrast. That said you may be able to find a high quality free isochronic tones product that work well and helps you achieve lucid dreaming success.

Once again we want to remind you that any lucid dreaming music should be secondary to using solid techniques and staying with them. You can certainly combine this approach with lucid dreaming supplements or even an aid like a mask. But in the end we are providing this page because the increased availability of this type of lucid dreaming music may make free isochronic tones an easy choice.

The post Free Isochronic Tones for Lucid Dreaming first appeared on Lucid Dreaming Guide.

Use Isochronic Beats for Lucid Dreams

Isochronic beats for lucid dreaming refers to a certain pattern of beats that some say can help set the stage for lucid dreaming. There is some science to back the technology behind Isochronic beats, which basically provide “brain wave entrainment”. Your brain copies the frequency of the beats that are presented and when it does this it enters a state that is conducive to lucid dreaming. Scientists can see this effect on an EEG and thus there is evidence that it “works” – though there is no direct evidence that the state that isochronic beats put your brain in will necessarily lead to lucidity, it is a very relaxed and open state.

Isochronic Beats Uses

There are many uses for Isochronic beats, many not having to do with lucid dreaming. You may find that these tones help you in other areas while you are using them for lucid dreaming. Some of the ways this technology may help include:

Relaxation for people who are stressed: These beats train your brain to go to a brain wave state perfect for relaxation and letting your stress go. This is probably the primary way that isochronic beats are used beyond lucid dreaming

Anxiety relief: In a similar way, isochronic beats can help reduce your anxiety, whether general anxiety or more specific times you get anxious. Some who use this method for lucid dreaming may also find that their anxiety lessens

Relief of some types of headache: It is not clear how, and may be very much related to both of the above, but isochronic beats may lessen the intensity of headaches as well.

Clarity of thought, reduction of background thinking: Isochronic beats may help with focus by reducing the extraneous thoughts that get in the way when you are trying to concentrate on something. This may be why they are helpful on getting you focused on lucid dreaming too

Creativity and vivid images: This is a more direct link to lucid dreaming, and even those who do not use them for attaining lucidity can enjoy the vivid movies that play when these tones are played.

Enhancement of lucid dreaming techniques: Of course this is why we are here – the fact that isochronic beats can be used to further your chances at having lucid dreams.

Best Isochronic Beats

There are many choices out there as far as Isochronic beats. You will want to look for the product that is most comfortable for you and provides you with the best quality. The price of these tones ranges from free to somewhat expensive, so you’ll want to compare and contrast. You will want to look for the following in order to get the best product:

Purity of the tone: This is something you can hear as long as you compare a few different products. Which product sounds the clearest?

Comfortable listening: Again, this os best done when comparing different products – which one can you imagine yourself listening to over and over?

Some prefer a mix of white noise or relaxing sounds: In this case you may choose a isochronic beats product that has white noise or regular music played in back of it

Quality of the recording: Of course this is similar to the first one, and refers to the overall quality of the product from a production standpoint

Isochronic beats alone may not induce lucid dreaming but they can set the stage to magnify the effects of your lucid dreaming techniques. There is some science behind their effectiveness, and whether you are just starting out or a more experienced lucid dreamer looking for an enhanced experience, you may want to try Isochronic beats!

Isochronic Beats for Lucid Dreams

Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming can help bring you success, especially if your core techniques are falling just short, or you are in a rut where you have not achieved lucidity for longer than usual. Beyond the use of the other types of lucid dreaming music we discuss here – binaural beats, direct induction, and subliminal suggestions – Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming can be an even better solution for some people who respond particularly well to this method. In fact, given how memorable and catchy these beats are, they themselves can become a trigger or a dream sign within lucid dreams. For example, if you were to play Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming during the day, even just for a little while, asking yourself if you are dreaming while you play them, the beats may be something you hear again in your dream. At that point you’ll once again ask “Am I dreaming?” and the answer will be yes.

Isochronic Beats and Lucid Dreaming Techniques

Anything that you do during wake time that becomes so routine and memorable during the day can become a trigger at night. So what better than Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming to provide that routine and memorability, because you’ll not only get the scientific benefits they provide but also the fact that they can trigger lucidity as a dream sign? The beats are so unique and memorable that they can be a trigger. This might be especially true of those of you for who music with strong beats tends to stay in your head.

A related question is whether the Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming when being used as a lucid dreaming trigger will be distorted and that might become a trigger in the dream. While again this possibility has not been extensively studied, we do imagine that the lucid dream sign that music might produce would relate to some sort of distortion in the beats themselves, similar to the many lucid dream signs that are more traditionally used such as looking at one’s fingers or reflection. Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming are usually so perfect and synchronous, and distortion will be obvious.

Keep in mind this more simple way to use Isochronic Beats for lucid dreaming as a trigger or a sign while dreaming. This may be a lucid dream technique that you could use tonight, and once again get the scientific benefits as well as the boost to your techniques!

Isochronic Beats in Regular Music

We’ve covered binaural beats, direct induction played under music, and subliminal induction played under music all for the purpose of helping you have lucid dreams. But what about a simpler and probably less expensive approach? What if just plain music played with isochronic beats, soothing or comforting music of course, could help you have lucid dreams? It likely can, and then you get a combination approach that can be used as a lucid dreaming trigger.

As you know, anything that you do in your waking life over and over can carry through to the dream. The most common example is asking yourself “am I dreaming” throughout your day until suddenly the answer is yes. Themes and occurrences in your waking life often repeat in dreams, and this kind of lucid dream trigger method is quite popular and many have been successful with it. So why can’t the same thing happen with music. If a soothing piece of music is played over and over while you are awake, and while it is playing you ask yourself if you are dreaming or you look around looking for dream signs, who’s to say that you might not suddenly find yourself dreaming? And add to that the beats played under the music that can help induce relaxation and set the stage for lucidity, and you may have the perfect combination!

Plain relaxing music played with isochronic beats can also have the secondary benefit of helping you relax, fall asl

The post Isochronic Beats for Lucid Dreaming first appeared on Lucid Dreaming Guide.

Free Binaural Beats for Lucid Dreaming

Free binaural beats are available that produce a pulse at a frequency that is perfect for lucid dream induction. These free binaural beats, either alone or played under some sort of lucid dreaming music, are quite popular. But what is the best way to use this method of lucid dream induction? On this page we go over the use of free binaural beats to induce lucid dreams, even though that may be a bit of a misnomer – since free binaural beats themselves do not produce lucidity, but instead create the perfect state for having lucid dreams. At the end of this page we will provide links to where you can get binaural beats free, but we suggest you read up on them first.

Before we get into the details of how to use free binaural beats to help induce lucid dreaming we offer a few suggestions that are quite important. First of all, just because you will not pay for these products, do not skimp on quality. The products that you’d pay for are actually not hat expensive so if you find yourself not finding a high quality product for free, you may just want to pay a little. In the same way, make sure you are getting all the features you need. You should not have to sacrifice features to get these lucid dreaming aids for free. And finally, do not give up too soon. As we’ve said before, none of the types of lucid dreaming music we cover here directly induce lucid dreams. Instead they set the stage to give you the best chance at lucid dreaming. Concentrate on your techniques and give free binaural beats a chance to work over time.

Free Binaural Beats and Lucid Dreaming

In assessing the effects of free binaural beats and lucid dreaming we need to first distinguish between wake induced lucid dreaming, also known as WILD, and dream induced lucid dreaming, also known as DILD. Free binaural beats are more commonly used for WILD, given that this lucid dreaming music is easier to set up when the dream state will be happening sooner than later. But this method can in fact be used all night and become either a combination method or even a DILD method alone. In either case, what you want to do is two things. First, you want to choose a soothing music that will be played over the beats and pair that music with your current lucid dreaming technique. For example, if you are using a method such as asking yourself “am I dreaming”, then do so with this exact music playing and notice the music when ask yourself the question. Regardless of the free binaural beats that will be played underneath, you want the music itself to become part of your lucid dreaming technique.

Now you want to play the free binaural beats at a level that they shine through the music, but not so loud that they drown it out and possibly wake you up. The exact volume likely depends on your tolerance for noise while sleeping or trying to get to sleep, since although this background noise can resemble white noise, for some it can become a distraction that wakes them up. The beats must be perceptible, but do not have to be loud.

Free binaural beats and lucid dreaming techniques

Here is where WILD and DILD techniques diverge, however, With dream induced lucid dreaming techniques you will need to play the free binaural beats all night, or set an alarm to have them come on when you might be dreaming. You’ll likely need to play the music and the beats at a low volume so you maintain your normal sleep cycle. Setting an alarm is necessary for those who have trouble falling asleep with this added noise, but of course it has the risk of waking you up when it comes on. One way or another with dream induced lucid dreaming techniques you cannot be precise about when you will be in REM sleep so you have to leave the beats and the music on.

For those using wake induced lucid dreaming techniques things are a little easier since you will definitely play the free binaural beats right away, while you are trying to go to sleep. It is okay therefore for the music and the beats to be played louder in this case, and you can experiment a little with the perfect volume. Like anything else going on around you the beats even if played loud can get worked into your dream. You may have experienced this kind of thing with other noises in your environment.

One last note about using free binaural beats: While many people incorporate them into music or play music over them, this is not necessary and they can certainly be used alone. It’s really a matter of preference. For some the music itself adds a nice soothing touch, while for others the purity of the binaural beats is preferred. It is not likely that either group will be more or less successful.

Why Not Free Binaural Beats

While in many cases free binaural beats will be very helpful with little or no drop-off from those you can buy, there may still be compelling reasons you will not want to use them. For example:

Free binaural beats and consumer protection

When you get free binaural beats you have little recourse if they are not high quality or otherwise do not work well for you. You still may be the customer but since you did not pay for them you don’t really have much leverage to complain or ask for change. Again, while they may be fine as is, if they are not you’ll just have to go to a different website and try again as opposed to asking for some sort of change.

Free binaural beats and consumer protection

You may find that free binaural beats do not have the flexibility or range that the ones you pay for have. In other words, they may just be what they are as opposed to allowing you to change things like frequency or pitch. So they ones you do get may turn out to be fine, you do run the risk that they will not have the flexibility you need.

Free binaural beats realistic goals

In a general sense be careful that you are not using this lucid dreaming aid, or any of the lucid dreaming music we cover for that matter, at the expense of focusing on solid lucid dreaming techniques. These lucid dreaming aids can up your chances of having lucid dreams but they by themself will not induce them.

Getting Binaural beats free: The catch

Finally, free binaural beats may come with a catch. They may be free but still require you to sign up for something or view advertisements. Maybe they are free for a while but only for a certain period of time. Look carefully at any free offer and make sure there are truly no strings attached.

It may merely be that since you know the potential drawbacks and limitations to free binaural beats you can now just find the ones that do not have these potential problems. There are many options out there and the number is increasing. You may be able to find a few options that you can use without paying.

Free Binaural Beats Links

Now that you have some basic information and advice about pairing free binaural beats with your regular lucid dreaming techniques, and you know a little about how they work, we wanted to provide a few links to sites where you can download or play them. This is not an exhaustive list, and there are plenty of other high quality and effective sites out there. Please feel free to let us know where else you have been able to download free binaural beats that work. (Please note that my site is not an affiliate site so I am not profiting in any way from your clicks to these sites) Here is our listing:

One of the best and most comprehensive websites we have found. Don’t hesitate to make a small donation if they do work for you: http://free-binaural-beats.com/

This website is neat – it allows you to get your binaural beats free by creating your own. This is a great concept – let me know if it works: http://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/binauralBrainwaveGenerator.php

One of many videos that contain binaural beats can be found here, and this one lasts a good hour: https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?ei=UTF-8&type=avastbcl&hspart=avast&hsimp=yhs-001&p=free+binaural+beats

Once again, this is not a complete list and just a list of a few possibilities to get you started and to give you an idea of what is out there. If you find other quality links, let us know and we might add to this listing (and you can aslo provide feedback about these if you do try them).

Conclusion

As with our other forms of lucid dreaming music, free binaural beats can help promote the perfect state for having lucidity. They will not work for everyone, and of course practicing your lucid dreaming techniques diligently remains key. Using the methods on this page may help put you over the top in attaining lucidity, or help you have more or longer experiences if you are already having them. We hope that this page proved helpful if you are looking for free binaural beats.

The post Free Binauaral Beats for Lucid Dreaming first appeared on Lucid Dreaming Guide.

A lucid dream inducer can increase you chances at lucidity, and in many cases you can do this without spending a lot of money. On this post we go over the three most common forms of lucid dream inducer, with the goal of giving you a general overview. Many people want to find a shortcut to their lucid dreams. Whether they look to lucid dreaming music, lucid dreaming supplements, or a technology such as a mask, the goal is the same: Augment the strength of their techniques through the use of a lucid dream inducer. To some degree we feel that this can be quite positive. There are certainly ways to increase the power of your techniques and give yourself a chance at lucidity. But before we go into a few of the options we do want to caution you that the core ways to induce lucidity are lucid dreaming techniques that are followed and modified as necessary. You do not need to spend a lot of money to attain dream control. Try each of these possibilities and see which one in the best lucid dream inducer for you.

Lucid Dream Inducer Types

There are several types of lucid dream inducer on the market today, and we cover all of them. Each of these lucid dream inducers is effective for some people, so you may want to try one at a time until you find one that is uniquely suited to your needs and preferences.

Lucid Dream Inducer Masks

The most common type of lucid dream inducer is a mask that can detect when you are dreaming through your rapid eye movements. At that point the mask flashes lights that are specially designed to not be bright enough to wake you up, but to be potentially visible in your dream state. You can modify your techniques so that you begin to visualize seeing those lights and wondering if you are dreaming. Some masks also use sound. You will probably want to find a product that gives you some flexibility in the settings so that you can adjust the brightness, frequency, or type of flash, and of course the volume and type of sound.

Lucid Dream Inducer Music

Another category of lucid dream inducer is music. Lucid dreaming music, or in some cases tone technology, uses special beats or tones often played at specific frequencies to help induce dream control. There are two types of lucid dream inducer products that use tones, and they are Isochronic Tones and Binaural Beats. In each case these lucid dream inducer products are designed to augment your techniques and enhance you chance at lucidity. In short, Isochronic Tones work by playing at a specific beat that causes a deep state of relaxation and focus. Your brain actually is trained by the tones to move to a relaxing frequency that sets the stage for lucid dreaming. Binaural Beats similarly entrain your brain and make it go to a certain frequency, but they do it by playing different beats in each ear which your brain responds to by going to a frequency that is the average between them both. Each of these methods does not directly induce lucidity, but these lucid dream inducers can help set the stage.

Lucid Dream Inducer Supplements

Finally we have the category of lucid dream inducers that contains lucid dreaming supplements. These supplements also set the stage for lucid dreaming by inducing a state of relaxation, or making your dreams particularly vivid, or enhancing the REM sleep cycle. Well-known supplements such as Choline Citrate, Mugwort, and 5-HTP, as well as lesser known products such as Galantamine and Calea Z are on the list of this type of lucid dream inducer. While these products cannot induce lucidity directly, many feel like they set the stage well for making you successful with your techniques. We suggest that you have at least a little success with your lucid dreaming pursuit before trying these lucid dream inducer supplements. That way you know that you do not have to take them each and every time you want to attain lucidity. We also suggest that you try only one of these ingredients at a time. While there are formulas out there the problem is that you may not know which ingredient actually worked if you try a mix.

Buying a Lucid Dream Inducer

What should you get that lucid dreamer who has everything? How about one of the lucid dream inducers we covered above, such as a gift of a lucid dreaming music CD, or a binaural beats machine? Or maybe you can get them a lucid dream inducer supplement of some sort. These lucid dreaming gifts could be a great idea for that person who has experimented with this exciting process. And what about for the person who knows little about lucid dreaming but you think might want to give it a try? In that case a book covering lucid dreaming techniques may be just the thing, though of course you could get them a subscription to the RSS feed of this website – for absolutely no cost!

And what about yourself? What is the best lucid dream inducer for you? Again, lucid dreaming music, a lucid dream induction tape, or a binaural beats machine might be just the thing for you. Maybe one of these lucid dream inducers work and you end up having more or longer or deeper lucid dreams. Or perhaps you will buy a more expensive lucid dream inducer, such as the mask that detects when you are in REM sleep and then flashes a light that tells you you are dreaming? Our point in this post is that you can use a lucid dream inducer to improve your attempts at lucidity.
